Dr. Tarek is the former CEO of Nile Scan & Labs, succeeding his late father Dr. Hazem Moharram, who had previously established the organization 25 years ago. He is a graduate with double majors, holding a MBBCH Medicine & Surgery from Cairo University as well as a Bachelor’s degree in political economy and management from AUC. He successfully completed his Master’s in medicine from the University of Edinburgh and is currently pursuing his PhD in medicine at Imperial College London. Dr. Tarek started his career at Nile Scan & Labs in 2008. During his tenure as CEO, Nile Scan & Labs’ revenue grew by a 7-year CAGR of 40% CAGR, driven by additional facilities as well as continued technological improvements to increment existing facilities. Between 2016 and 2019, the company’s total capital investments amounted to EGP 163 mn. Dr. Tarek also leads Elevate Healthcare in his capacity as CEO, managing new investments, M&As, and as well as managing the holding company executive team. His professional experience as a practitioner and CEO of a leading top tier organization in the healthcare sector in Egypt is a key success factor for Elevate PE and Elevate Healthcare
Abdelrahman, with his extensive experience as an Investment Manager, has led and managed multiple large investments within power production under Elsewedy Electric. Prior to that he worked at Coca-Cola Egypt working in different roles within both the commercial realm and supply chain. He also worked across a multitude of different geographies, giving him an edge in understanding the requirements of the development of our fund. Abdelrahman is a core member, not only for his past performance, but for his ability to create value across different organizational levels.
Mahmoud holds a Master’s of Finance from the London School of Business and Finance. He has had great success in his career as an investment manager and continues to do so through Elevate. Mahmoud was previously the investment manager at Elsewedy Electric, an entity dedicated to renewable energy investments, where he was able to secure multiple deals through Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. He also over 9 years of experience in buy-side banking, making him not only a core addition within investment, but to the organization as a whole.
Head of Communications & IR
Amr joined Elevate to head the firm’s corporate communications and investor relations. Prior to joining the company, Amr held the position of Head of Publication and Distribution of Beltone Financial’s sell-side equity research Department for over 2 years and a similar position before that at HC Brokerage for over 7 years, in addition to consulting on HC Securities & Investments’ corporate communication strategy. His other communications experience within the financial industry includes holding the role of Editor-In-Chief of the Arab Finance weekly newsletter, in addition to past work with InkTank Communications, editing the publications, annual reports, and IR presentations of major EGX-listed companies, as well as for Enterprise, covering GCC business and finance news. Before entering the financial industry, he was a corporate communications consultant at Etisalat Misr for 4 years as well as a writer and editor for Egypt Today and Business Today Egypt. Amr also worked at the International NGO Catholic Relief Services, responsible for writing USAID and other donor reports, and taught English for 4 years. Amr holds a Bachelor’s degree from AUC with a major in political science and minors in philosophy and history, and holds a corporate valuation certificate.
Amr is currently an investment director at Next Wind Management GmbH, a PE with USD 100 mn in AUMs. His main responsibilities include the origination and execution of renewable energy transactions, highlighted by the closing of 4 transactions totaling EUR 50 mn in equity and over EUR 100 mn in debt. Moreover, Amr has experience in the buy-side and sell-side of PE transactions as well as leveraging finance for financial sponsors in the DACH region (German-speaking countries).
Mohamed is an experienced investment banking professional with a track record of executing transactions across the Middle East and Africa with focus on Egypt, the UAE, KSA, the GCC, and East Africa. His transaction experience includes advisory on M&As (buy-side and sell-side advisory, as well as advisory on mergers/swaps, etc) and advisory on equity capital market transactions (IPO advisory, as well as advisory on secondary offerings, dual listings, rights issues, etc) on regional exchanges and on the London Stock Exchange.
Ahmed is a finance professional with 11 years of regional experience, mainly in corporate finance and investment banking. Ahmed worked on all aspects of capital and debt raising advisory for a wide range of blue-chip clients in the healthcare, oilfield services, education financial services, infrastructure, utilities, and real estate industries, as well as being responsible for and involved in the origination, project management, and execution of a number of high-profile transactions.
